Yes, they serve a very good purpose. I use an Armageddon gear on my TBAC. If you plan to only shoot a couple times, they aren’t needed. Shooting a group of 5, it shows its value.

I don't use a can cover on my regular hunting rifles. Pretty much the only place I use one is on my long range precision rifles where the mirage from a hot can starts to cause me problems. Otherwise I run them bare.

I have one in FDE that you can have if it will work for you... It's new in the wrapper. Not sure what brand it is.

My college roommate had a jacked up truck with a license plate that said EYE SOAR. It was funny because we all knew it was intentionally misspelled.

I got a Cole-Tac from Brownell's for my Omega, but the can's still in jail. A buddy had to put an Armegeddon gear cover on his Harvester to cut down on mirage while testing handloads. Both on bolt guns.

I like my armageddon. my shooting partner has the sico. it looks nice as well.

for slow fire they work well. but once your can does get really hot, it will stay hot longer.

Just trying to understand the use for one if using thermal and the most you will shoot at 1 group of pigs is 10 shots per gun.

With most nights not even coming close to that many shots at once. Usually 4-6 per group

Got alot of cans in our group, no one runs covers on theirs
