Strong north west wind this morning and lots of rain last night.
Looking at all the pictures of him I canít make a pattern but do know he only shows in the morning between 8-10 and ALWAYS after being there during the night before.
He has skipped a day or two between being on camera before but some times longer when he goes back to my neighbors.
Neighbor hasnít seen any pics on his place so thatís good.
Going to pull my camera card before I climb up. Maybe he came by for a midnight snack when the rain broke last night and I can wait him out this morning.

Iíll update when I climb up and review my card. Fingers crossed!

Good luck this morning.

As an aside, if the 13 doesn't show up by the end of muzzleloader season would you take that wide 8? He's a pretty cool deer too.

Yes. As it narrows down there are three other bucks i would shoot here if given the chance. Just hope it doesnít end that way.

Hereís better pics of the wide 8, Big 6 and broken brow 9. All targets.
Wide 8

Big 6 (gone since late October)

My money is on you killing the 13 if you stick with it the next few days. He is way to regular on your camera during day light not to slip up.

Can't wait to see you behind that deer.

All i saw this morning was a doe.
Part of me wants to just check my camera in the mornings early and if heís back at night go ahead and hunt that morning.
I know if i do that and go home because heís wasnít there at night then he shows up in the daylight out of the blue Iíll hate myself.

I hunted countless hours last time I was home and I know my wife and kid are ready for this to end!

I wonít be here this weekend. Taking them to my cabin at my other place. Try and kill some doe with the CVA and hopefully get my daughter on a deer while we are there, as well as some pigs at night.

Still MIA, 224 pics and they were all bucks. 6 different bucks including the wide 8 and the 9 is back here as well. Both came in twice.

Usually 13 isnít far behind the 9 as they came from the same home turf and I believe they travel the same route back in forth to my neighbors place not to far behind each other.
He still hasnít seen the 13 since he quit showing up here. Iím gonna give it a whirl after I drop my kid off. Who knows.

Hereís some pics of them again.

I got skunked again, tomorrowís wind sucks. Even for a muzzleloader. Going to go to my other place. Maybe get a doe, but at least put out corn for this weekends hunt and run cameras. Maybe this spot needs a rest anyway.

Thursday looks like rain and a front pushing in. I will definitely hunt Friday morning late before I leave for Lodi.

Any one care to guess the score?

I got 138 and still think 3.5, neighbor says 4.5 and he has more history with it. Hard to age this time a year for me.

Hereís some better antler pics.

The third picture makes him look older with that blocky head and Roman nose. I bet he's at least 4.5, maybe older. As far as a score I don't know and wouldn't care. If I killed that deer I'd text pictures to everyone in my phone.

The camera is on the fence row. I can walk up behind it and check it with out walking around into the woods on the trail. The corn is just 10 yards inside the woods from the field. My stand is on the same fence row 15 yards East of the corn and i climb up the back of the tree and end up on the inside looking over the corn.

No offense but If I was disturbing it, I wouldnít be getting 200-250 pics a day of other mature bucks. 13 just isnít there right now.

I stretched everything on one set of numbers and got him to the upper 40ís but who knows. I think he has big ears and is close to 15Ē wide.

I think you have the score down pretty good...maybe a tad more to go 140. Looks like he's maybe a 4 year old. Rooting for you to get him!

This deer looks very similar to a 13 pt I shot this year.....same antler configuration.

Totally agree. You know he is frequently using the area so why keep checking the camera? You are seeing bucks but obviously itís been a cat and mouse deal with him So sounds to me like he may have you somewhat pegged. To me you definitely wonít hurt your chances and would likely help by only going in the area to hunt. Good luck hope you put him down he is really cool looking

Tomorrow the wind sucks so Iím not hunting here (going to my other place)

I just got permission to hunt basically a sanctuary across the road that Iím sure of is full of deer.

Itís mostly pasture, about 30 acres or so that backs up to 50-60 acres total of thick unhunted woods. Surrounded by houses.

Neighbors seen 13 come from there on the 5th. I set a cam and corn just inside the woods on a group of trails leading to the field and will see if that is where he is hiding. I have a feeling it is.

First time i go back Iím just gonna hunt it that morning and see what happens.

Setting up on the ground to the east of the corn about 60 yards down a narrow lane inside the fence row.

Havenít tried this but i think itíll work with straight south wind. Heís bedded to the north west.

Iím betting he will slip in this morning or tomorrow. Heís due for a daylight showing. Iíll update at daylight.
