Watched this deer for five years allways been a 12 just keeps adding mass so this year was the year for him to go. He was and AM deer only lots of TC pics of him in the mornings so I would hunt him in the morning when it was cool enough to set in the ground blind. Had him come in a time are two with no shot opp. Friday morning it was a nice 27 in the creek bottom and I set out to give him a try had lots of deer in early with a nice 170 class 4 yr old in the mix that was bull of the woods for a while. At 7:30 the 12 shows and the 170 moves out to me at the blind. I was wanting to shot this deer at 20 are less being as I have not shot a deer at over 20 yds in over 20 yrs. He come in a run the other s away from the feeder and then moved out to right at 20 yds but I had toooo many deer in the way for shot. The other deer got to moving back in at the feeder and he huffed up and moved back to under the feeder and the othjer was out of the way. I got drawed and as I anchored I seen the 170 start down the road and shot now are maybe not at all I shot with about 4 ft of room in front of the 170 at 5 yds. My shot was a little back but the rage made up for it I guess has TD would say if you are off a little have a big cut. He left out quick and deer when every where and then it got quit. I was worryed that the shot was bad waited 50 mins. and when to look for blood. Walked to the brush and he made it 40 yds. and was down for the count.
