I've seen many concerts, but there are a few I never got to see. I will repeat a couple on here: The superbands, Highwaymen and Traveling Wilbury's. Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Hank Williams Sr.,
SRV
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Waylon Jennings
Pantera (R.I.P. Dime Bag)
Guns and Roses
Allman Brothers
Don Williams
Johnny Cash
And the list keeps going...........
The Eagles - Back in the day when the wife and i were dating The Eagles were going to make a pass through Ft. Worth. She asks if i'm going to take her to see The Eagles. No, we'll catch 'em next time. The announcement of the breakup came about two months later. She still reminds me.
I'd like to have seen Little Feat in the Lowell George days.
The Band
SRV
Jimi
There's a bunch. I've seen a bunch, but i missed a bunch as well.
Wish you wouldn't have asked cuz all I'lll do is continue to kick myself for the missed opportunities.
Saw them several times. 2112, Moving Pictures and Hemispheres. Neil Pert is the best drummer I have ever heard. Trees with all the symbols and chimes was absolutely graceful.
I was too young to see the original line up, but did see Page/Plant twice. I paid over $200 in 1995 to get lower prom next to the stage, right side. That was a lot of money for a college student back then. I was sitting there stressing about it before the lights went down. Page came out right in front of us and tore into a few seconds of the Immigrant Song then switched on a dime to the Wanton song. I forgot about the $200 bucks. During the middle of the show Page walks out with his famous double neck Gibson. House lights went up and he went into a blistering version of The Song Remains the Same. Best show ever! And I have seen a ton of them.
I did the same thing for a couple hundred bucks. Worth every penny. SRV was gone before I was old enough to realize how important it was to see him but not seeing him is my biggest concert regret. I feel like I’ve been to hundreds of shows. I’m too old and tired to make many these days and there are a few more I’d like to see.
