As I'm going over my daughters math review for her test tomorrow, I come across this question. She writes down 13/8. I explain there were 16 total slices and 13 were served so it would be 13/16.

Then I look at the answer key and sure enough it says 13/8 or 1 5/8 are the correct answers.

So no, I'm not smarter than a 2nd grader.

Even though in my my head I am thinking that fraction only indicates 1 5/8 slices(not quite 2 slices) was served. The question is worded poorly.

And I think even more technically the answer should be written 1 5/8 pizzas served or 13/8 slices (edit: slices in this post should be pizza as well)
