    Box bow blind

I have been working on this box blind this week. It's turning out pretty well so far. On the last one I built, I used 2" square tubing because I had a lot of it left over from other projects. You nearly need a fork lift to move it.

I used 1" on this one and it should be much lighter.

I've still got quite a bit of work to do but will probably spend most of the weekend on it.

      Blueprints? Or at least dimensions.

        Scotty,

It's 6'x6'. I made my last one the same dimensions and I am happy with it. It's big enough for two people but not so big that it's hard to see out of several different windows.

How high did you make the windows? Is it 6x6x6?

Yes, 6' all the way around. I'm putting tin on the roof so I wouldn't have to pitch it.

The bottom of the windows are at 35" and I cut them 9" wide by 16" tall.

Thanks, I may have to copy that a few times this year.

Are you going to leave it on the ground or raise it. If you leave it on the ground you may wanna look at painting the inside black and finding a fabric that you could roll down to cover the windows you're not using. I think this is a sweet blind if you could keep good shadows in there.

                    Thanks guys.

Yes, it is going to stay on the ground. I got my windows finished this morning and the plywood roof on. After I get it painted I just have to rig up a curtain for the windows and wait until the tin I ordered comes in next week.

Anyone know where I can find a spring loaded curtain rod that will stretch to 5' 10"?

Would a shower curtain rod work?

You gonna have real windows or shoot through netting?
