    Have you checked yours lately?

For me Wednesday is Fistmele day. I check my bows for brace height and nock set. It's something I've learned the hard way that it can creep in and play havoc with my shooting.

I know for the veteran shooters on here it's probably a non issue because it's ingrained into you process and routine. But for all those who are newer to the scene maybe a reminder will keep you from the frustration and even discouragement that an unchecked brace height can bring you.

    Happy Fistmele day!

I check it just about every time I take a bow off the rack to shoot it. Especially important if you have a newer bowstring that is not fully stretched out.

You may want to define fistmele. Some may not be familiar with that term.

Hint: It rhymes with brace height.

I probably don't check it as often as I should. Just this week something didn't sound quite right during a practice session and I realized I had not checked brace height in a good while. Sure enough, it was off by over 1/4". It does not take much to make a difference.

it's just become a habit. I check it every time I pick up my bow. When hunting, I check it before I head for the stand.

I don't check mine so that I have an easy excuse when I miss.

Check it fairly often but not as much as I should I guess.

I put a mark on my arrows that way I can do a quick check anytime I pick up my bow to shoot.

I use my fist to check it out, you know, as in fistmele.

I have too small a fist so I have a tape measure. [emoji15]

DRT...I guess your term is actually fistmelittle?

I for sure check mine when my shots seem to go funky, or I'm not shootin good for some reason. Which means I check mine ALOT! Good Huntin, and God Bless, Rusty
