Yeah, Napoli is handy to have around. Not making predictions, but his teams show up at the world series on a regular basis these days. Like 4 appearances with 3 different teams in the last 7 years. Hope springs eternal!

Yup.....We had big holes to fill last year and they stepped up. Hopefully Bannister gets the same out of them this year plus we have a few good new guy surprises.

That's the case for just about every team not named Cubs. I think they'll be alright. I wish Perez was pitching in Surprise instead of the WBC. I liked Gallo's response to the WBC. He said he needed to spend the time with Ranger coaches. I expect good things from DeShields. He supposedly spent the offseason dropping weight and working on his speed, explosiveness, and fielding routes. I'm hoping one of the guys that is almost out of baseball (Hamilton, Loney, etc..) will find something and impress. Should be an interesting season.

I'm just ready to watch some games.....this time between football and opening day baseball called basketball sucks.. Luckily college baseball opens soon and I'm hoping to see some good things outta my Longhorns with the new regime. No more Augie ball bunting.

They are hopeful about the depth in the rotation with the new additions. 9of course there are major question marks there, too.

I think josh will be a very interesting story this spring. He's supposed to be healthy, with a clear mind, and WANTS the 1st base job. For his sake and the Rangers sake I hope he can stay healthy.

Just read this article. Some of these ideas are just plain stupid.

I do like the auto intentional walk. I always thought that was ridiculous at the pro level. These are professionals....just go to the base...

Lots of question marks for sure. Hopfully some of these younger guys will get more playing time or if they aren't what we ar looking for send em packing and try to get us some win now players. Hopfully Deshields can return to form but even better. Love Nap being back, am really interested to see where Hambone comes into play if at all. I'm pumped and nervous, so may "if's" I'm ready for it to get going!!

I'm going to miss Colby Lewis - he as always been one of my favorite Rangers. My wife stopped him coming off the practice field in Surprise when we were out there last March. (I think she has a big crush on him) He could not have been nicer - posed for pictures and chatted with us for a while.

Well hell.....I wonder what he was asking for that the Rangers wouldn't give him and let him walk?

I'm not sure what he has left in the tank but starting pitching is one thing we can't afford to let just walk way unless it was a preposterous amount.

With all the injuries we have had the last couple years in the rotation, I dont see how this year's questions are any different.

Worried about the defense more than anything.

Can someone please answer this question: After almost (4) months off from any type of competitive baseball, how can Adrian Beltre report to spring training with a strained calf, to the extent that he could miss 2-4 weeks? SMH on this one.

Beltre' already dealing w/ leg issues and he wants to play in the WBC. I know the dude always has leg issues in the spring, but he's not getting any younger. I'm not down w/ this World Baseball Classic. Fingers crossed.

Once one of my favorite players but after he left for the Angels with his *****-arse wife, I wrote him off. Although technically, I should love him and her for making the Angels foot the majority of that big arse contract for crap production..

That being said, I would have liked to have seen him rekindle some of that magic for the Rangers sake. He's too **** brittle..

Good to see Rougie get extended.....Astros love it too......

Sounds like ChiChi Rodriguez and Nick Martinez are stinking it up bad in the bottom of the rotation battle..

Those 2 guys have been spares for awhile now. JD better start punching into the office early these days and find a serviceable starter pretty soon. This rotation is suspect to say the least.

Chi Chi is out for the foreseeable future. They shut him down for a few months. Nick will never be great but can be serviceable at times. Hopefully we can get some kind of production from either Ross or Cashner this season. If Ross is able to regain any kind of form that could be a solid 1,2,3 for us.

Did Colby Lewis land a gig anywhere?

This rotation has all the potential it needs to resemble something a wolf ate and **** off a cliff. I'm not optimistic about the pitching staff as a whole.

Hopefully Tyson Ross gets to Arlington at the end of May. Spot 5? Good luck w/ the current options. Hopefully, M. Perez picked up something from King Felix at the WBC. I know hope isn't a strategy. We'll see...

On an unrelated note: I hope Delino DeShields performance carries over into the regular season. That would be fun to watch.

When will the roster be finalized? Anxious to see it.

Colby may be on the Roger Clemens "take half the season off and come in to an open spot on a rotation somewhere" plan this year. I doubt he is completely done.

Dervish ready to go 5 1/3 perfect innings, striking out 16, and leave after 130 pitches.
