CDC admitting that most of the deaths aren't covid.

You're not missing anything. The political conspiracists would rather listen to how their right wing media enablers misinterpret CDC data than how the actual CDC interprets their own data.

You can either subscribe to the fanaticism and conspiracies or to the information published by professionals who do this for a living. Professionals are not always right, and true professionals acknowledge that and correct errors when they are discovered. Fanatics and conspiracists believe they are right and don't see, acknowledge or correct their errors.

The professionals at the CDC are transparent in their findings and analysis and unlike the political fanatics and rank amateurs who think they know it all, the CDC professionals acknowledge the limitations that can potentially impact the accuracy of their findings.

Excess death analyses are not subject to these limitations because they examine historical trends in all-cause mortality to determine the degree to which observed numbers of deaths differ from historical norms.”

I capitalized accurate and complete

All they are doing is regurgitating numbers fed to them by sources who are making money by relating a COVID death to some other related co-morbidity. They aren’t and can not verify each death. Doesn’t sound too scientific to me unless they themselves can do that

17, 799 - chronic respiratory disease
26, 365 - respiratory distress synd.
44, 261 - hypertensive disease
23, 275 -heart disease
