Good Morning from the Trapline...

Good morning...

The kids had a blast this morning running their line of 15 traps which are mostly coon sets with three coyote sets...They are working a property for a set of hunters to remove coons, coyotes and a few other critters.

So far in the past two days they are at 6 coons and one coyote...

That's awesome. Our deer numbers at our home place are very low for our area. I think it's in part to our high coyote numbers. I picked up some new snares and I'm going to pick up a couple foot traps tomorrow. I'm glad to see kids getting involved in it. Way to go mom and dad.

I may have... one set had a young coon in it, he got set free but only after I got ahold of him with both hands and had the kids remove the trap.

Needless to say he was not a happy little guy..
