    Dinner Ideas

Feels like I've been cooking the same meals for the past 15 years. I'd like to add some new ideas in the rotation. What are your top go to dinners that are reasonably easy. I'm no professional chef but I prefer home cooked meals and cook most nights. I'd prefer minimum dishes and complexity as Id rather be spending time doing other things.

Look up a recipe for blackened catfish lettuce wraps. Buy the fish at the store if you have to.

Bacon wrapped backstrap lightly seasoned with your favorite steak seasoning. Fresh asparagus coated in olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Throw the asparagus on the grill when you flip the backstrap steaks. Cook backstrap steaks no more than medium, and asparagus until is softens, but still has some crunch. A little fresh Caesar salad and your good to go!

Sounds like my kind of dinner--

Might just have to do that tomorrow evening since wife is away and I'm on my own.

I made lettuce wraps tonight. Family likes them and they’re super easy.

1 lb of ground turkey or pork( we like turkey)
3/4 small jar of Hoisin sauce
              3-4-1 cup shredded carrots
1 bundle of green onion ( cut up)

I like to put Asian chilie paste in mine. It’s pretty Spivey

              White or brown rice

              Lettuce.

Make a wrap and eat it up. Good stuff.

Fish tacos are also a staple here too

Meal delivery. You pay for so many meals a week, they send you everything you need, and the recipe card, and you cook it yourself. It's great. Saves time on grocery shopping, everything is sent to your house. And if you ever stop doing it, you have all the recipes to make on your own.

I had Mahi Mahi, broccoli, roasted red potatoes, and shrimp tonight. It was awesome.

I have a very large list on my iPhone of all the meals we enjoy. We always throw in a new meal every week or two. We eat out 1-2 a month and I cook the remainder of the time. These are some of our go-to’s, with all meat being venison besides the occasional ribeye or turkey burger:

                        Steaks n taters, something green
Fried backstrap, mac n cheese, mashed taters, something green
                        Meatloaf n taters, something green
                        Spaghetti, something green
                        Tortilla soup
                        Chicken n dumplings
                        Hotdogs and frito pies
                        Burgers, fries, something green
Pan seared breakfast pork chops, cabbage, rice
Pan seared pork loin chops, kale, mini golden taters
                        Fish tacos
                        Venison tacos
                        Ritz casserole and salad
Pan seared tilapia, bacon brussel sprouts and rice
                        Rice n sausage casserole
                        Taco bake
                        Enchiladas
                        Shrimp pasta, bread, salad
                        Crockpot chicken tacos
                        Crockpot roast
                        Crockpot pork chops over rice
                        Mongolian venison stir fry
                        Philly cheesesteaks

We always have our favorite frozen pizza in the freezer in case we don’t want to cook.

Not any worse than regular grocery shopping. I want to say it's around $80/week for 8 meals.

                            For how many people?

I just did a mock plan just to see and it’s $200/wk for my family of 4

                            That’s 5 meals/wk

                              Will definitely look into that.
