video help

I was recently forced to get a new computer, because the other one was a dinosaur (Vista). Well I knew how to use the video editing software I had. Now I have Windows 10, and there doesn't seem to be anything similar on the computer as it came. Am I missing something? Do I need to download something free or buy something? If so, what?

I imported all my old videos and want to edit a couple to put on the net.

Thanks for any help or advice you can give, remember you are dealing with a dummy.

Does it have Windows Movie Maker? If not, I think it's a free download from Windows?

Movie Maker not supported for Windows 10, however it may be possible to download it from the 2012 version and use it....researching, a little wary of downloading stuff.

Just in case someone comes back to check. I down loaded the Windows Essentials Suite which has movie maker in it. I was able to use it to edit my clip, it was not as easy as my old version, but I got it to work.
