Cajun, sounds like you might be pretty close to solving this. Someone will drop a dime on this chump. Im assuming you are gonna pursue some type of legal action when the perp is caught.

I bet that sucker is squirming

Guys like this can't help but talk about it or show off the antlers.

He's likely already told someone now hopefully that person will hear of the reward.

Lot of poachers been busted that way. There was a huge buck posted in Horseshoe Bay. And the state sent pictures of it to axidermist across the state. Those taxis shared it across states and buck was found in a shop in Tennessee getting mounted

Iíd be willing to try that. I talked to the game wardens about it but they said more than likely the poachers took it to a taxi that they are friends with in the area and that may cause them to ditch it.

I donít know what the right answer is. We are pretty certain we know who did it but we have to have proof that they have in their possession.

Default Poacher Reward!

I sent the game wardens a text last week asking if there had been any progress. Their response was exactly ďno luck yetĒ. I asked if they had interviewed the suspects or searched their property, I never heard back from them.

How happy do you think I am?

Even if he just cut the head off that is still an un natural way to carry it...

It doesnít matter what part of, or how he is carrying the deer or whether he took the whole body or not. We need to catch him with the head/antlers or even some DNA in his possession. All the other conjecture is pointless.

I have a feeling the GW arenít looking into this case any more than a 100Ē deer taken the same way.

Yep. Just aren't enough resources to focus on one case unfortunately. Kinda like a stolen vehicle. They'll look a little at first for the obvious then it goes in a data base.

It is possible, but not likely, that a bullet could be found in the body to match the rifling in a poacher's barrel...at least that could happen on TV.

The other day my son shot a deer and I had to drag it a long way to get to a field to get the truck to it. Anyway while I was dragging it I said to myself ďI wonder how hard it is to drag a deer by the tip of the antlers?Ē So I tried it and you know what the antlers were actually further away from my body and made it easier to walk...defiantly different but next time you guys shoot a deer try it because it is very possible to drag a deer out this way.
