Default South Africa will push ahead with plans to amend the constitution to allow land expro

If land is stripped from White farmers I hope the USA turns its back on a hungry nation in a few years.

They won't need our relief funds any more. If you look at previous confiscations of land from white's in Africa.. the confiscated towns, farms and properties were turned into thriving metropolis's, who in turn provided relief funds themselves to the remaining prominently white owned farms and towns.

There is going to be a lot of killing there very soon. More than there is now. Followed by famine when the farmers are completely displaced. Then good ole Uncle Sam and a few others from the civilized world will be guilt tripped into being on the hook for "helping" them.

Do you think this will impact the hunting? I am in the final process now of setting up an archery hunt in Polokwane, Limpopo.

nope should be all good... except for the not having a place to hunt, no guides, no lodging, being robbed because jobs are gone, and all the animals being poached/killed due to not being in a protective monetary state anymore thing.

Agreed. I left a message for friends/Safari ranch owners in the Limpopo area. However, its 6:00 pm during hunting season so I probably will not hear from them for several more hours.

Not really.... it is just a bunch of politicians running their heads to get votes.

Most of the big farms have mortgages, so while it sounds good to take the the land from the evil white and give it to the poor blacks. In the real world that land belongs to the banks.......

If they took it their entire economy would collapse

Go Hunt

Guys I dont have the time now to read all the posts but I see what the main worry is, Buff also on the threads commenting can vouch for me... a bunch of the links on here are fake news I stay and hunt in and around Polokwane all the way up to Alldays Lenyati Safaris. The land matters here is definitely in the pipeline but will not be land of private farm owners or houses. Its about goverment owned land and unpopulated land of municipalities. In short if you booked a hunt in RSA and you booked with a reputable outfitter they will definitely warn you if something like the fake news happens... if you guys have questions feel free to message me. I will go through some comments later...

It probably is fake this time. But do you think if/when it's not fake news they will tell you... Nah! we don't want/need your money since it's near the end of our time in Africa. Name one business ever that didn't try to make money until the end.

Correct. But I dont believe its Government sanctioned; though it may be fueled by rhetoric from their current ruler.

But it's ok though..because whites are racist! And just them owning more land than others proves they steal it. Surely there couldn't be another reason they end up owning more land!

You will be FINE! I would not hesitate for one second to make plans for an African safari... This rhetoric from the RSA government is nothing new. They have made these threats periodically over the last several decades to appease the radical component of the ANC.

It makes the news for a day like it did back in December after the election of the new President Ramaphosa, then you donít hear about it again....

Ramaphosa is heavily invested in RSA in both properties and agriculture. None of the white South Africans feel he would do anything to jeopardize his own wealth. For them, its business as usual and they take these threats in political stride.

We were hearing about their governmentís plans to confiscate white-owned property 13 years ago when we first started traveling to South Africa, and I assume you will hear these threats for years to come.... Bottom line is that 85% of RSAís economy is generated by 15% of the population. You can probably guess what component of the population that 15% is.... As a potential client, I wouldnít give it a second thought. This rhetoric hasnít changed my plans in 13 years, and it wonít change my plans to return again next year. Any real serious land confiscation would require a constitutional amendment which would create a revolution to accomplish.... I already heard today that Ramaphosa is walking back his rhetoric now saying that if anything, they will only take land and buildings that have been inactive, vacant, or already confiscated for tax liens... This story is not "fake news" per se, but the theme is not new and it is being sensationalized.

I know threads like this tend to stress some peeps out. So here is a little stress relief tidbit for you.

Stress management technique, recommended in all the latest psychological journals.

The funny thing is that it really does work and will make you smile:

1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.

2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.

3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.

4. No one knows your secret place.

5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the World.

6. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

7. The water is so clear you can make out the face of the Democrat (insert name) you are holding underwater.

See, it worked. You feel better already.
