No. He won a Super Bowl but his record at Tampa wasn’t that impressive and I think he got fired from Tampa.

I like him and hope he does well and can’t wait for the chunky dolls

Bingo. Dungy got hosed on that deal. It was his team but nobody gave him credit.

But the team they played was the team he built in Oakland and he knew the team inside and out.

I’m not saying he’s a great coach but people don’t realize or acknowledge that fact

I've had the same debate, and have been a fan of Gruden on ESPN, and really think he's making a bad move going back to coaching...on another note, though, he is ESPN's highest paid broadcaster, and could see the chopping block coming with all of the layoffs recently.

Yep. Also, Tampa went all in for that Super Bowl. They gave up 2 1st rounders and 2 2nd rounders to obtain Gruden. The loss of that many draft picks would doom any team. That said, I don't see him worth a 10yr 100 million contract.

Be fun to watch him either way on the sidelines. Never any doubt how he's feeling at any particular moment -- just look at his face.

A little late, but still right. What has Gruden done since then? I'm not bashing him. I hope he does well. He's been out of coaching for a good while now.
