Here was a win for today. Dad found this in one of his closets so I gladly declared it mine. [emoji16] I'm glad I didn't buy one of the ones last week posted on here now lol.

JT do you have to put in by yourself with the outfitter draw or can you put in with 2 or 3 buddies like normal draw?

Good luck brotha. Hope you can build upon the momentum from the pronghorn hunt! In for LDP's.

I don't like packing in for elk if I don't have to because when you pack in your committed to that spot. If you truck camp you can drive all the way to the other side of the unit and hunt one day if you want to. I don't mind putting on miles and my pack should be light. Under 15 pounds I'm guessing.

I have been advising this to people for years. Solid plan.

Must have missed it but which unit are you hunting and which outfitter? I live in NM and have hunted in the Gila the last 2 yrs and looking like I will again this year!

I didn't say what unit because it's not one of the "popular" Gila tags. So if the hunt turns out awesome I don't want to send more applications it's way ha. The outfitter I used was Kiowa hunting. But like I said they literally didn't even provide me with any info on the unit.

Went over to ccr this morning to shoot the elk a few times. I shot out to 70. My sight tape is dialed perfect and I'm finally shooting good. Here are my last 5 arrows from 30 yards.
