Trump now is charged with rerighting this sinking Economy - with the ACA tossed on top of it all, as another compounding factor.

For me, in this speech one moment culminated the entire event and to me out shadowed any other policy matter discussed. Fiscal issues be ****ed, this is what last night was about and to me was very powerful and emotional. My take on Military spending.

It provides advanced Technological Engineering across many levels and disciplines. And the end result places America at the forefront of Technological Engineering which can be applied and bartered at the Commercial\Civil level as well as Government to Foreign Government level.

Aeronautical and Space advances, advanced propulsion systems (Maritime, Aeronautical & Space), Advanced trauma and medicines & robotics - etc etc etc.

Military spending has given the world FIBERGLASS, GRAPHITE, MAGNESIUM, TITANIUM, DUCT TAPE, ADVANCED EMT AND TRAUMA CARE, SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS, GIS.....ETC ETC ETC

They will develop advanced propulsion systems for Shipping and Trucking. Advances in remote management and robotics, advances in alternative fuels and energies ETC ETC ETC.

So many think Military spending is strictly tied to National Defense and Security. It's tied to so many things including a healthy Intelligence Community and many other things that have decayed to points, the world's State now is the end result - Terrorism is one example.

I thought about posting something like this but figured it would fall of deaf ears. He has no clue about anything really.

But your post is spot on. The only thing that needs to change is how the government gives out contracts on everything, not just military.

Live and let live. Sounds good. If someone wants to live without working that can be their choice. They can live without food and insurance also. They want to live and have babies they can't afford they can deal with that themselves also.

Unemployment needs to be overhauled also. Take away all affirmative action also. Remove the check race box on applications for jobs and schools. We should all be equal.
