Default Alfalfa

I was around Sonora last weekend. The wt, axis, and auodad were killing it. I decided to try it in Nolan County. Worst off I'm out 22 bucks. We shall see.

Most people tell me wt will not touch it. Mule deer love it. What are your expierences as far as wt??

I’ve heard from a buddy of mine that hunts up by Texas/Oklahoma border he built a feed type holder for the alfalfa and the WT loved it. Good luck and hope the $22 are worth it

When it’s as green out as my bales of alfalfa, they tend to leave it alone. The more dry or cold it gets the better

Some of the guys on our east Tx lease swear by it. When I used it in my areas they seldom touched it.

The grass in your pen is as green as the bale. They probably won’t hit it very hard this time of year. Try it again in December.

Try this, about $13-$15 a bag usually. Alfalfa and molasses. 50# bag http://chaffhaye.com/
My axis, whitetail and even hogs eat it.

Most places in west tx the deer kill it. If it's green in your area it will def take a while for them to eat it. Once they start it goes quick. I usually only feed it winter and dead of summer.

Bought a square bale and tried it at my place in Cisco. It was still sitting there a year later, basically untouched.

I think it's whatever they get used to eating; feed it enough and they will eat it.

Its been a lot of animals last meal! West Texas they loved it. East Texas not so much.

I'm selling a 55 gallon drum alfalfa feeder if anyone is looking for an extra.
