Made a couple bad shots. Hit an impala high, in the back straps. Shot a waterbuck last nite, got on the track but turned back due to the cape buffalo between us and the waterbuck. Looked all day today. Didn't hunt. Lost the track, never found him. Only 2 days to go and rain is coming.

Keep at it. The first time I went in mid May. You are right about the thicker, greener vegetation. Animals needing less water, etc... the last two times have been later in the dry season. Keep flinging arrows though

Thx, Mr C! I must sent a typo. Impala is 23", but still a dandy!

Rain has set in. If it doesnt let up, we are probably done. Tomorrow is our last day.

Well, throw another backstrap on the grill, pour a cold one and enjoy. I love that almost as much as I do the hunting over there.

That Sable is good eating

Congrats Danno! Things really came together towards the end of your hunt. Guess you'll have to get your Zebra next trip...!

Congrats to your Dad on the beautiful Blue Wildebeest. Awesome looking hide... Bet that 7X57 is really quite with that 18" suppressor ...

Headed home. We just landed in paris. Our connecting flight to Houston was canfelled. Rerouted thru Atlanta. Be home around 830 pm tonite.

Had a great trip. We took sable, warthog, monkey, 2 wildebeest and a waterbuck and impala that we didn't find. Rained the last 2 days. Can't wait to do it again!
