Well donít feel bad. I had to drive two hours to Cedar Creek and then call my Guide buddy once I was on the lake because I couldnít remember my spots. Lost all my waypoints when i went to Humminbird. I feel like with crappie itís more location than color of bait. Anything in chartreuse and white/black/blue will usually get em. Just so happens today they were on brush in 10-15ft. Just cleaned em. Tired and need whiskey.

Last week I fished two evenings for 1-1/2 hours each and caught 30 crappie out of my pond. I gave them to a biologist.....they weighed between 40 & 45#'s.

We'll both be looking for fish. Got booted off the slip. Coming up on their busy season (owned by a fishing guide) and they rent out the slips with the cabins. So, we were asked to not renew (month to month).

Dang. Do they have a combo lock? Maybe you can still drop in and fish. Or we will just boat right up to them and cast at the docks! I gotta a new fish finder and would like to start plotting some brush piles and maybe even making some new ones.

They do, but they also have cameras all over the place.

We went out Sunday, but the wind was killing us. Didn't have much luck, but did find a couple of good spots.

If you live around the dfw metroplex and you were not fishing after the storms went thru you were missing out. Could not keep the cork in the water or get time to set up a second pole unless I just left it my pole on the bank but who could do that when They were biting every time it hit the water. Caught about 16 with 2 dozens minners. 6 keepers! Adding to the stockpile

We went last weekend and had two things happen that I have not experienced in the past. First was short fish. I have not caught many crappie under 11” at all out there...maybe 1 in 10 would be short. Saturday we probably went through 4 or 5 short fish for every keeper.

The second thing I have never experienced is tons of missed fish. I started thinking that possibly it was bream or even catfish. I went and bought some crappie bites at the marina and started hooking the fish. I hope I don’t have to resort to using them often because they stink and are messy!

Overall it was a great trip with my son catching the “$5 first fish” as well as the biggest fish and I think if we had stayed off of the docks he would have caught the most.

I think she wanted to go more than he did! Her first time to fish on a boat! She took her dad 3 bags of crappie fillets! She was excited about that! I need to give them suckers a vacuum to clean all the crumbs out of the boat. They had a picnic on the front deck! Least I got to eat all the chips that blew out of the bag. Momma packed snacks like we were never coming home. Little sister wants to go now. I predict she catches her first crappie pretty soon!!

I just saw something on Fbook about a fish kill on Palestine. They must have just known you got the 360 and decided to give it up.

I'm like those people on the commercial that need a Snickers if I go more than a couple days without shanking slabs! In the winter I can go a week or 2 cause I'm flinging arrows. It's a close second.

Slew, I wanna see the rest of the new sled. I was zooming in on the Bird when I realized you got the 360. And an Ultrex too.

The fish are biting. And there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!

This is honestly the only picture I have of it! Before anything was installed I think! Ranger 620FS with a 250 Verado. 36v Ultrex. Lowrance HDS Carbon 12 in the dash linked to a 9 on the bow. Hummingbird helix 9 to run the 360 on the trolling motor. Still trying to get comfortable with it all but we're getting there. It's a big heavy boat. That's taking some getting used too for sure!
