Picked up a couple more John J Bowman Single Barrels, since I seem to run through it quickly. Also picked up a Blade and Bow to take yo the cabin this weekend because it is one of my brother-in-lawís favorites. Also picked up a Rombergerís, because I have heard good things about it. Never had it before, so it very well might be a shelf ****.

It’s good, not bad for the $25 price tag. It reminds me of Larceny for those who have tried it. I probably won’t buy again, I like my Weller!

Default Jefferson's Pritchard Hill

This is the first bottle of Jefferson's for me to try and after talking with the guy who has tried them all, he said the flavor profile was better than the Jefferson's Ocean (not sure which one he was referring to). I sipped it neat on Saturday and it's one the best i have tried so far. Very smooth but at 90proof that is expected. I don't get any notes of the cabernet cask but it has a great flavor profile.

Tried a bottle a few weeks ago and it got relegated to the mixed drink cabinet fast. Hope you like it more than I did.

Blanton's is $65-80 in South Louisiana, when you can find it.
Lots of good ones at lower prices so I'm not chasing this one.

Jason85, I'm in Lafayette! Liquor stores are all listed in normal places. We have two local grocery stores that is kind of catch as catch can, Champagne's in the Oil Center and Rouse's on Johnston. (not their Bertrand location) The owner of Rouse's likes bourbon and the Johnston store usually has some excellent store pics, there EC Small Batch is awesome right now. Marcello's liquor has a very good selection of bourbon also, with a locked glass case for big spenders. ;-)
Well, now that I think of it, Rouse's and Champagnes have locked glass cases also.
Have fun, there should still be boiled crawfish available too.

Went blind tasting EC small batch vs. wild turkey 101

No contest 101 (as I figured)

This is really high quality bourbon under $50 .... and its $25. I’ll put it above eagle rare all day ( which is good but nowhere near great)

If you haven’t tried it or have preconceived notions it’s cheap swell. It’s cheap enough you have zero to loose

Trying a couple new ones today. Iíve had a bit of Four Roses before, but this was off a buddyís private barrel. Pretty dang tasty. Followed it up with a couple of pours of Stagg Jr.Name: 2C54C4AA-07F6-4F22-95AA-42AEBA81B64A.jpg

Steve at Ambassador Wine and Spirits is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, is knowledgeable, and they have great prices. They do have a waiting list for hard to get items though so finding a hard to get bottle is rare. They do have some Rebel Yell 10 year old, I saw it yesterday :-), and had a store pic of Buffalo Trace recently. Worth a visit IMHO.

If I could find a way to ship it to ya without leaking it would be in the mail tomorrow. It’s 1 of 2 that I ranked undrinkable without a mixer. Bullet (sp?) rye was the other. Dill pickle is all I taste. Horrible
