We were unloading, I picked-up a stick of wood and this girl ran across my glove.
They are fast, it wasn't pretty.
Definitely an occupational hazard.

Definitely looks like a Brown Recluse. Good thing is that they usually are not aggressive and only bite when squashed or pressured. Make sure the boys wear gloves and chances are you won't have a problem. If your chunking that much wood you have probably been around a ton of them and didn't even know it.

Brown recluse for sure, watch for scorpions as well. My wife, my 3 year old daughter and myself cut a bunch of pecan that was laying since last year. Cut, loaded, and drove it home, went to unload it and had two decent sized scorpions run out of the first two pieces i picked up to unload with my daughter reaching for them.
