Its finished!!! Built a string and tuned it this afternoon. The rest is just bunch of finished pics, and a couple of this bow next to the broken bow that my coworkers son had before.

Here is the knife my coworker made in trade for the bow. He is also making a sheath for it. The scales are some leftover riser material from my first recurve.

Nice work. I bet you made a kid happy with that one.
Built my nephew a little longbow. He has outgrown it now and it has been passed on to another nephew. Now I get to replace it and he just HAS to have a recurve like his uncle this time. Fun stuff!

Trades are always good, sometimes better than money.
At least ya get what ya want in the trade.

            Great job Matthew !

That's awesome!! Looks like both of you are skilled folks in different areas. Gorgeous bow and knife. I'd say that was a pretty good trade.

Here is a happy kid! This is my coworkers son that I built the bow for. His dad said he was going to need to eat his Wheaties before he will be able to shoot it very much. I offered to try and drop some more weight but he said he could grow into it.

What's that? Ready and watching the build or trying one yourself?
