I don't know. This is my first one, and I made it for myself, although I may give it to my brother. And I have to use my brother-in-law's tools to make them because I don't have the tools, and that adds an extra burden. So I guess I'm going to have to decline making any cutting boards for anybody. Sorry.

No, it's padauk. It's naturally that colour. Sometimes it's a little more orange, and sometimes it's a little more brown.

That's how I have seen it as well. More of a purple

I've never seen it with a purple tint. Or, if I have, maybe I mistook it for being purple heart.
