I'm new to the Forum, but kind of an old hand at traditional archery. Started bow hunting as a kid for rabbits and such when I was 10. A few years later and when I was strong enough to draw a legal recurve I started deer hunting. Took me a few years but I finally got my first deer with that ole recurve.
I spent 8 years in the Air Force that I did little or no hunting and when I did it was with a gun. When I got out of the USAF I decided to get back into bowhunting, and had to try the new and best stuff out there. Over about ten years I spent a lot of money on compounds and arrows and such but was never really happy, oh I killed some deer but wasn't happy.
Three years ago I put down the compound and got myself a longbow and though I have not killed a deer with it as yet I am once again happy with bowhunting. Just haven't had the time to get a lot of hunting in these last few years, but I hope that is soon to change.
Anyway just wanted to say hi to all you guys/gals.
