Body Cameras?

Well After a few complaints from people I have written tickets to I am wanting to look into a body cam.. I had a complaint today about a person I wrote 3 citations to call into the PD stating she thought I was going to assault her and was scared for her life... I thought it was funny but things like that can end myjob.. Anyone have any opinions of good body cams or ever used on?

I'm not a LEO, just a concerned citizen that would think cameras should be standard issue.

Nope there cheap as hell we are driving trucks that some have 100k miles..

That sucks. I don't have any recommendations for you either. Ours are provided by the department, and are not set up in a way that you can make individual purchases. They require software to upload and are stored remotely and set up in a way that nobodyou can edit, or alter them in any way. They're good cams, but are just not something an individual can by that I'm aware of.

If you fall under enforcement via the PD you might want to get with them and see if them can get you one. There also has to be specific requirements as far as chain of custody if it were to be used in a court proceedings.

Don’t rush and buy something you can’t use.

The above statement sounds like the winner. If you work in Irving then the Animal Control does now fall under the PD.
