    Can a mount be "re-taxidermied"?

I have a couple of shoulder mounts that didn't turn out well. Is it possible for another taxidermist to remount them without needing a new cape?

Depends but probably not.. It is possible if they haven't been mounted for long.

Yes, but if it turned out bad the first time it will probably be bad again + it cost more to use an old cape due to extended hours reworking the cape

Also if the taxidermist used "dry preservative" to treat the skin instead of tanning it then forget about it..
