Got released from the hospital last night. Got bit by a copperhead Tuesday morning. Came out of my camper trailer to get ready to go pig huntin. Stepped off the steps and there he was! Bad thing was, I was barefooted. Flash light in one hand, snake boots in the other. From what the Dr says, it's gonna be 2-3 b4 the pain and swelling goes away.

Ouch. I walk outside at night barefooted or with flip flops way too much with the dogs. It's hard to see them suckers in the dark. Hope you heal up soon.

I know that pain you're talking about...got bit on the joint of a finger when I was a kid. Burned like hot coals the first few hours , then my arm swelled up as big as my leg. Three days in the hospital hollering for demerol every 3 hours to be sure I got it on the fourth hour.

Glad you are OK. That is bad but it sure could have been worse. Snake boots are supposed to go on when you are still in the camper.
