Default Desert tamales

My wife makes tamales to sell twice a month and her apple pie filling tamales have been selling more and more as people try them!

So is the outter part still the same masa? If it is, that sure don't sound good...

And I'm thinking Chocolate sauce is the LAST thing I'd put on a tamale...

I just looked at the website of these tamales pictured and I'm not gonna lie...the chocolate cherry actually looks pretty delectable when it's all unwrapped. But, I too, would try anything once. Most anything. Not everything... But most anything.

I would try it, but like was said earlier. Not sure how I would like the corn flavor mixing in with my dessert type stuff.

Turkey may be good though. Seems a little bit easier to comprehend taste wise.

Yes sir, it is still masa but it's a sweet flavored masa. I think she uses chicken boulien to flavor the regular masa. They are actually pretty good!

My mom still buys me chocolate covered cherries to this day for Valentineís Day. Not going to lie they taste horrible compared to when I was a kid but I will choke down 1-2 just because. I will try anything once but that just doesnít sound awesome.

Ok wife says the masa for the apple pie ones are flavored with sugar, Mexican vanilla and cinnamon. So now it makes more sense that it tastes like apple pie!

Best tamale ever is brisket/green chile. Next best one is venison(Neck) and pork. I have had dessert tamales and they are good as well.

Just checking... are we allowed to call those Tamales? Because when you say "sausage kolache" the sky opens up and the Czech police start in on you.

I've never liked a tamale that wasn't good ol' pork with plenty of that beautiful orange grease dripping off of it.
