Default New bow

Well I have only ever shot compounds but lately I have been having the itch to try a traditional bow some. With traveling thru the Austin / San Antonio area for work all the time I decided to stop by and visit with Bob Sarrels. After shooting a ton of bows that he had on hand I found one that I liked. It was a 60” Blueridge SR 51# @ 28”.
I actually left without buying it and wanted to think it over but within a couple days I had to call him and let him know that I would go ahead and take it. I was able to pick it up yesterday and looking forward to getting to shoot it some.

It's a pretty bow. That's quite a bit of weight to start out with.

I talked to bob about this and shot some that were in the upper 30’s to upper 50’s. This one felt good and was hitting and hitting next to a whiffle ball at 20 yards consistently.
Weight didn’t feel like it was an issue so went ahead

Thank you and not sure yet.
What do y’all recommend? Looking for something around the 150gr range.

Alotta good choices on the market. I dont have alot of experience but this wt season I had complete pass throughs with Trailmaker three blade 145gr but I didnt hit any bones.

Fail safe choice is single bevel. Thats where Im gonna go next.

I agree with Bisch on the best model so far. They are all good though. Hard to beat Solid Bob. Arvin

I also use 150gr broadhead, and after many years of trying all different ones, I have 3 favorites.

In order:

1) German Kinetic (both 1 1/8” and 1 1/2”, depending on what I am hunting)

2) Magnus Stinger

3) Wasp Traditional.
