No plans for subs since I don't have a suppressor. I guess I may shoot a few playing around at the range, but have zero intentions of hunting with them. Thanks again for all the suggestions guys.

If I had ZERO intentions of ever getting a suppressor (which would be a poor choice IMHO), then there is no reason to go with a shorter barrel, unless you just want the convenience. Get every last FPS out of the round possible.
