Wounded nubbin buck - what would you do?

I'm watching a very young nubbin buck that I have seen before. But, now it has a bad rear leg with what looks like a cut, and it can't put any weight on it.

What's the merciful thing to do, simply hope it gets better, or take it out? I'm thinking let it walk but was curious what others thought.

      They're tough critters. I'd pass

I let it go. But if you have a tag for it and ant to blast it then go for it.

            Yep. Let him live.

Yeah, nothing in me wanted to shoot it but when I saw it, in what appeared to be a lot of pain and no ability to run, I started to think for a moment that death may be better.

Coyotes will get him if he can't run
