I have used this several times and it works. They crawl down the hole but can't get out. You have to make sure it is tight at the top. I generally put some tape on the top so they cannot crawl out... I use cidar vinegar for knats... And it will catch ALL of them...

Never tried it for mosquitos...

Yes these work well especially for flys. They fly in and they cant get out, once they get tired they fall in the water and drown.

And the proof is in the pudding, put the $10 dollars fly bait from ACE in it, and caught this in one day by the horse pens. All the black are flys
