Today is a fantastic day. Mom had her LAST treatment and rang the bell. 
I want to thank all of you for the mails, pm’s and prayers sent. It has been a rough couple of years, but we are beating this dreadful disease!
I’m so very thankful for trial drugs, Baylor’s awesome Dr. Chang, as well as Sam and Shay at the Infusion Lab. It is never easy to go through what she just went through, but through the above…we survived it with the best of care.
Mom’s already had her heart scan and that came back ok. They tested blood today while she was getting her treatment and that came back good. We are trying to schedule getting her port out late next week, and then it is over. We discussed reconstruction, today, and I think that it going way on the back burner. Time for a break from the poking and prodding on her body.
Thanks again…. I appreciate the support I have been given through the Green Screen.

I’d like to close this with the same message I have posted a few times in the past. Early detection is the key…..please get your annual mammograms and do your monthly self exams. All you husbands, fathers, sons, brothers….please take a minute to remind your loved ones how important this is.
