Excellent shot, Casey. Backlight is my favorite light for critters, especially when it's not a blacked-out silhouette. Doesn't get much better than this shot to me.

Casey, Excellent shot and yes its time to get motivated but we need a little cooler weather and rain of course wouldn't hurt. May I ask what lens do you normally shoot with when you are out getting buck/wildlife shots. My largest lens is the 70 - 200 f/2.8 and I can get some good shots just not this close.

Thanks. I am pretty sure I used the 300mm F4L IS for this one. I carry it most of the time while hunting. Before I picked up the 300, I took the 70-200 F2.8 that you mention.
