How are you controlling your scent and sound????

Multiple stands for the right wind. If the wind is bad don't hunt that stand that day.

Too late to edit my other post so I copied them again with the stand type and height.

18 yards doe - Climbing treestand, 20ft high. I cut my pull up rope so I knew when to stop (PA).
15 yards doe - Hang-on treestand, 18ft high (OH).
22 yards buck - Hang-on treestand 27ft high, friend hung the stand (PA).

Two does and one old trashy Buck, all from loc-on stands not more than 10 ft off the ground in Kansas.. The right wind and timing the Chase always works to your advantage...

Closest I think was 9yds and furthest was 27. Most are 16-22 I would say but I have been playing with traditional gear since last year so hoping for 14-17yds tops!

All from the ground. Closest shot ever is probably 7 yards, longest at a deer is 35 yards. Longest at any animal was 60 yards at a Javelina and I smoked that sucker! The 35 yard shot at a deer was just circumstantial. 9 out of 10 times that's not a shot I'd take, but I was already drawn back, it was getting dark in a hurry, and he was leaving. I stopped him, figured him a little past 30 yards and let her fly. I've got total confidence to 40-50 yards, but there is just too much that can happen in that distance in my opinion.
