    Headlight restoration?

My 2014 Silverado is getting dingy yellow oxidation on the headlights
Anyone get a service to do it? If so how much $
On a DIY , what did you use ? How long did it last ect
Someone told me bug spray works but is only VERY temporary and actually speeds up the yellowing?
    Thanks

If you are going to keep the truck for a few years just buy replacement headlights vs polishing.

I personally use Turtle Wax Headlight Restoration. Usually have to redo once a year...

I think the replacement is $500 , and eventually may need that but not wanting to spend that much now

Mothers, just wipe it on ? Or is there a long process

I bought replacements for my truck from eBay about 4 years ago and they look great. They cost me $80

I used OFF mosquito spray on my old truck. It's worked great.

I’ve used toothpaste but honestly didn’t notice a big difference. I found some replacements for an old commuter car on eBay that were about $100. Man it was a world of difference for both looks and visibility

I did the exact same thing for $80, may be worth looking into

Real easy to do. You can search YouTube for videos
Basically, clean. Dry. Rub on. Polish with buffing pad on drill. Wipe off. Enjoy.

The key is getting a good Polish with the buffing pad. If you miss an area, easily go back and do again. About 5-6 minutes per light. Polish about $8 and pad can be up to $15 or so. I just happened to have a buffing pad in hand already from somewhere.

I polished the headlights on my little commuter car for $16.00 and about an hour labor. I used the 3M kit from NAPA, use it on an electric drill. They look new.
