Advantages of manufacturing a 80% lower?

I can personally only come up with three possible reasons why someone would want to finish machining a 80% lower receiver. Only the later two really appeal me at all.

    1) So there is no 4473, which I really don't care about anyway. So I don't mind filling one out. But I know some people don't care for them, so that might be seen as an advantage.
    2) So it doesn't have someone else's logo or markings on it (customization).
    3) Because it might be fun to build your own. I can really see this - as this type of thing interests me - making things on my own... even if I can buy them finished.

I ask, because Brownells just sent me an ad that has Anderson lower receivers on it. One is completely finished an anodized - $44.99. The other is 80%. Same price - $44.99.

Any reasons I may be missing?

    All the best,
    Glenn

Each of my family members have one. Here is why (since they are more expensive)

    1. No birth certificate (incase the government ever decides we do not need them)
    2. They are a cool conversation piece at the lease.
    3. I made it for the most part.

It's fun, kind of like making a knife.
