It's fake. It's a piece I cut from an old discarded purse.
I'm not sure what it is supposed to represent. I guess alligator.

I really like the pattern, and how real it looks.
I'm considering recovering the hood of my bow quiver with it also.

That looks sharp...What kind of limbs are you shooting.I have a Excel riser that has a really nice wood laminated handle. I found a lefty on AT years ago need to find some limbs for it.

I use to work with a lil cowgirl/ horse lady that always had the coolest purses. What I mean by that is, real leather, nice conchos, and cool lace. Long story short, she always gave me her old purses. I made some cool stuff from her old purses, like knife sheathes and other cool projects.

Yep, I've made lots of stuff out of old purses, wallets, etc over the years.
I've made several things out of this one purse now.
Sometimes some of the coolest stuff to use is right under your nose, and ya never know it.
