    WTO 6.5saum is ready!!

After another setback from Borden sending my action in the wrong configuration my rifle is finally done. I think Clayton at WTO knocked it out of the park. Came in at 6.4lbs bare and 7.9lbs loaded.

    Specs:
    Borden Alpine Ti
    Manners EH3
    Bartlein 2b fluted (miller brake)
    Bix n Andy Tacsport trigger
    PTG aluminum bdl metal
Leopold Mark 6 in Hawkins rings

Beautiful rifle. Clayton will be building me a rifle and its due in July. I already paid my deposit. May I ask what finish is on your stock? My stock will be a Manners MCS-T and I also will be using the Benchmark Miller Brake.

Nice... now put a decent bipod on that thing!
Either loaded means without the bipod or the Mark 6 is helium purged.

He did the webbing on the stock and the color is Manners’ coyote tan

Haha that’s his not mine and it won’t have one on it anyway it’s purpose is hunting on foot. The weight is without it

Awesome rifle! They are building a 30-06 for me now.

            VERY NICE!

Did you consider their switch lug?

Looks great. I've really been toying with building a similar mountain rifle for mule deer and such. I'm torn between the 6.5 SAUM and going with the 6.5 PRC. What are your first impressions of the Borden TI action?

I did but after lots of discussion with Clayton I decided not to use it my other caliber I would want to swap with would be 300wsm and a short action isn’t really optimum for it to be loaded to its potential. I’ll probably use the switch lug when I get ready to build on a long action

The action is top notch and why I went with Borden, but seeing some of the other options I’m not sure it’s really worth the premium over other custom Ti actions.

Good looking rig. Let me know if you want to drive an hour west and stretch out to a mile.

Thanks guys it’s been a long wait between finding my ideal parts, getting it all together, and going through the build process. I’ve still got one deer tag left this year then the even longer wait until I hit the mountains with it for Dall sheep. May even go against the grain and take a grizzly with it
