    Party porch

Well my father in law retire from TXDOT this week so we put him right to work haha. We have had this planned for a while now but haven’t had time to knock it out. We had to tear the old porch off because of water damage due to the tin not being tied into the house roof properly causing the decking to sustain water damage. We had the roof replaced a while back and now we are adding approximately 700 sq ft of porch and it will all be one structure but we are not tying it back into the house. We got the last standing structure tore down and got the weld plates installed. Yes I know where some of the columns will be they will not line up but we had to do some crazy engineering due to where the back door is and several other factors. Bear with me as this is not going to be a one weekend project but will update as soon as we get things done.Click image for larger version

Pretty much how I did mine. Best addition I've done to the house. You'll enjoy it!

Can’t wait to get it done, prep work takes the longest, especially when nothing is square

It is actually all 11 gauge, but we are using rectangular tubing instead of c purlins to keep the birds from nesting under it. I was not interested in sheeting the underside lol
