More Bobcats

I didn't quite nail the setup like Russell's bobcat photos, but I did capture this with my 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II a couple of weeks ago while hunting from a gun blind with Courtney.

The 200 just isn't quite enough reach for 75-100 yards out, so this is heavily cropped.

I know what you mean. 500mm at 17 yards is a little different than 200 mm at 80! Of course, the guy behind the lens makes quite a difference, too!

Nice Pic. You do the best with what you have. I also have a 2.8 70-200 but sometimes I use a 2X converter to help me get out there a bit. But it hard to use without a monopod.
