    Big Dang Bow Blind

Ok so all the pictures of day one build.,, They gone.

But here is what we are working with.
    2 4x8 sheets of 3/4 ply wood
    36 yellow pine 2x4's
    Nail Gun
    Paint
    Crapton of Deck Screws
    Most of a Tape Meaure
2 gal of Eddies Sweet Tea Vodka.

The builders are myself, Chili, Marces86, Cademan, and No Show. (Yea he actually made it to both builds and was on time!)

So I picked up my son and Marces86 and headed out to the ranch Friday Night. We unloaded everything, thru up the tents and got in a few quick hunts. Nothin showed so don't get excited about that.

    (A little back story)
During deer season we blood tracked a deer onto a part of the property that very rarely anyone goes on. While tracking the deer we found 15 sticks of sheet metal all stacked up neatly. Well, we are trying to be more green these days. So we decided we would reclaim this sheet metal and put it to good use someday...

Well Folks... Here we are and that day is upon us! The weather is great! We just started our food plots. What better way to prepare for deer season then to build a behemoth bow blind!

So we got it erected, but half way through the build, our nail-gun got jacked. So we started using the screw gun. The original plan was to build this dude into modular sections. Break it down and move it.

Just one day of work and 1 gal of Deep Eddies later and those plans were scrapped.

We built this dude in the barn and had to get it out. So we hooked it up to the tractor and stated for the food plot.

Coming around the first bend she shifted just a bit. But everything held fine.

We had to cross several acres to get to our set up.

This is what the new blind is replacing. A worn out, faded, falling apart pop up that won't even stand any more.

It was a tight fit for sure. But we got her in and level pretty quick.

I managed to get one window cut out before dark.

This blind is 8x8x8. We wanted enough space to be able to take both kids and still shoot our long bows. We are going run power out to this dude so the kids have a way to charge their electronics without killing our hunts. we also plan to install a compact a/c, heater buddy, and green lights off the roof for late night pig hunts.

      More to come.

Very nice! That's big enough to put a set of bunk beds in!

Should be years of fun for y'all and the kiddos!

When does the bathroom go in there? That's an awesome blind right there.
