Yesterday I went to Academy to buy some limb savers. I found another product that they make. It is to keep your hand warm while holding a metal risered bow. It is a thin strip of rubber.
I cut two 1/4 inch pieces of the rubber and put it just were the string meets the limbs on my recurve. I thought it might help reduce string slap noise. I figure that the string probably touches more of the limb than just were the string grooves are during the shot.
I am afraid to put the stips in the string groves but it if did not cause limb twist it would probably work better and hold up a lot longer than moleskin.
I did not have time to test it out as my wife showed up and was hungry. ;-(
What do you guys think? Mike.
