Summer food plot

I am wanting to plant some food plots this summer at my lease in east Texas, any ideals or advice I should know before hand ?

your pretty late on the planting. Don't plan on getting a whole lot of rain before you should plant for the fall.

if i where you i would focus on getting ready for the fall/winter planting. start tilling and plowing so you are ready come late Aug or so.

I am sure a spring deer blend will work for you. I planted a blend from MBS Seed Co. It has a variety of beans/peas/Milo...

But like was stated, too late to plant for summer now. Work on getting your fall plots prepared for planting.
