    Birds....

I think I could get into the whole birding thing. Sent a couple hours during a recent hike out at South Llano SP last weekend in one of the bird blinds. Will definitely be doing more of this stuff. All shot with Canon T3i and Tamron 150-600mm lens. Tried ID'ing the best I could but not sure on a couple....

    Bewicks Wren

    Black Crested Titmouse

    Black Throated Sparrow

    Greenwing Teal

    Lesser Goldfinch

    Northern Cardinal

    Spotted Towhee

    Wood Duck/Ringneck duck

    Ideas???

Nice job on these. I believe your last shot is an American goldfinch. If you continue you WILL have a new addiction. South Llano SP is a destination on my list. So many places to go, so little time. Wife and I are heading south next week to go photograph Whooping cranes from a boat so we can get up close.

Good source for ID, https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/browse . Audubon is good also though I normally don't use it. You should also check out ebird. http://ebird.org/content/ebird/about/

You can check mine out if you like. https://billmorris.smugmug.com/Photos-for-sale

Be careful, it will grab you.

Yes, his tour is a bit shorter than the other. You been? I did a day trip there last year and got what I went after but I want closer.

I know him though a friend of mine. Great guy that knows that country, biology and history down there like nobody else.

He comes highly recommended. They both do actually but like I said, shorter tour. Bigger boat too.
