    Big Green Egg table

I've been working on this awhile. Finally got it mostly finished. Cedar frame. Screwed and bolted. Sanded, sanded, and sanded some more. Clear lacquer, sand, clear lacquer, sand, clear lacquer, for several coats. Granite top. Voila. Excited to fire it up.

That’s sharp. What’s the black piece between the round granite piece and the bottom of the egg?

I didn't properly account for the depth of movement when the hinge operates. I had a granite shim made to raise the thing so everything would operate properly. The granite guys had a scrap piece of black granite. It didn't cost anything, so a black granite shim it is.

                  Thanks for the compliments!
