    Advise on food plots

I live about three hours from where my families ranch is and i'm considering planting a food plot. Do any of you fellas have any advise on a good seed that will need minimal work?

Make sure you test your soil before spending any money on seed. It will tell you what you need to do to the soil before planting. I use alot of Bio-Logic, several diff kinds of clovers, winter peas, wheat and rye grass with some chickory thrown in.

Check out Pogue Agri partners they have a bundleflower hybrid that I'm wanting to try, but they have several seed blends that have been tested in S. Texas and some look very interesting.

If you wanna ty something quick, broadcast some annual ryegrass out. It just needs to make soil contact. I would broadcast some fertilizer too...like 13-13-13.

What type of seedbed prep are you doing if any?
