Default Legendary Express Needed

We need some help. There’s a dog in Corpus Christi that’s been offered to us for free. Winter is right around the corner and I’m unable to make the trip or pay to fly the dog up here to the upper peninsula of Michigan. We just moved up here and we’re knee deep in remodeling and cutting firewood. If there’s any way that someone can help us get him to Michigan we’d appreciate it. He’s a 1 year old lab and he will have a crate. I’m open to any creative solutions.

Iíve got 2.5 acres surrounded by National Forest on the banks of a designated ďwild and scenicĒ river. Iíd love to have some company. I know a good houndsman for bear hunting here.

I moved out of the mountains to the Upper Peninsula for the water, better hunting and fewer crowds. The stolen valor creep was still on the force with a new sheriff in charge when I left. They deserve each other. Iím just a dumb red neck veteran in the woods trying to get a dog but Iím glad to be here in the great white north. If youíre ever in the area, let me know.

There are dog transportation services out there. They pick up 8ish dogs in the south and move them north.
Maybe 700.00 per dog.
I will cover the first 100.00

Wow! You couldn't have been much further north and still been in the USA!

You DO know that it gets cold up there?

Iím betting on it. Fur is easier to trap when thereís snow on the ground and Iíll be getting about 25 feet of it every winter! I enjoy staying home with a raging fire and a few projects in the shop

I’ve just about got enough money to fly him to Green Bay. I’m putting the rest on a credit card. I’ll be posting updates here. He should be up here in a week or so.

Just poking you, Jeff.

I already knew you were a good, solid ‘merican dude or I would not have wanted to assist you (and those 2 beautiful kids of yours) to get another dawg! Incidentally, I have never heard of a Plott Hound! . I am happy to help and hope that if I am ever stranded near you in the upper peninsula, you will help me change my tire.

Stay warm up there this winter!!!

Just a quick update. Nothing is hammered out yet, I have all the PayPal money set aside and if there’s an alternative to me paying for a flight I’ll immediately return the money. There are two different approaches working at the same time. More details available by phone if wanted.

American and Delta say his kennel is too big to go but K-9s For Veterans out of Chicago is working on an alternative. In the meantime I may need someone to pick him up for me in Corpus this week and foster until I can get this figured out. If you got any chance to help me with housing this dog I’d appreciate it. He’s about 100 lbs...

I will be redfishing out of Rockport on Oct 12 and may can work out a pickup with the owner that weekend, then get him to an airport for transport, but my schedule is limited and dependent on others.

I'm ~ 8 hours from Corpus.

Anybody else in Corpus area want to help a TBH buddy out?

The guy getting rid of the dog is in a bind and needs me to get him somewhere by Thursday. It’s a long shot but it would be great if someone near Corpus could just pick him up and hold him for me.
