Gonzales County Monarch

Killed him yesterday in Gonzales County. My cousin has a place there and he always invites me out to shoot a management type deer. Well he's had this bad boy on camera for about the last five years. Think he's 8.5 this year. He had a huge gash on the back of his neck from a recent fight and you could tell from TC pics it was getting infected. He gave me the green light that of he showed himself to go ahead and take him so that he just didn't die. Well... He showed himself. Scores 159 even. Very grateful and humbled that he allowed me to have this opportunity.

That buck is unbelievable. Do not give a rats butt what he scores, he is very unique and beautiful. I would take that deer over a whole lot of deer that score more.
